More about our Split Conduit

Split conduit — also known as slit conduit — is corrugated plastic conduit with a longitudinal slit along its length, allowing cables to be inserted laterally into the conduit without threading them through from one end. This makes split conduit the preferred choice for retrofit cable protection applications, for protecting existing harnesses and cable bundles in place, and for any situation where the cables cannot practically be fed through a closed conduit from end to end. Split conduit is widely used in mining vehicle maintenance, fleet upfit, and industrial equipment retrofits throughout Australia.

Quality split conduit uses a spiral slit design that provides positive retention of cables once inserted while still allowing cables to be removed for service — the slit stays closed under normal operation but can be opened manually for cable insertion or extraction. The corrugated profile provides flexibility for routing around bends, while the polyamide or polypropylene material resists the oils, fuels, and chemicals encountered in vehicle and industrial environments. Split conduit is available in a wide range of nominal diameters to suit single cables through to large multi-cable bundles.

Minespec NSW stocks split conduit in the sizes commonly required for automotive and industrial cable protection applications, alongside the conduit clips, P-clamps, and fittings needed for professional harness installation. Our team can advise on appropriate split conduit sizing for your specific cable bundle diameter and installation requirements.
