More about our DTHD Series

The Deutsch DTHD Series is the highest-amperage connector in the Deutsch range, designed specifically for applications requiring environmentally sealed single-circuit power connections carrying 25 to 100 amps continuous. DTHD connectors use crimp-type solid contacts in sizes 4, 8, and 12, accepting wire gauges from AWG 6 through AWG 14 — making them the correct choice for main power circuits, battery connections, starter motor leads, and high-draw accessories on mining vehicles and heavy equipment.

The DTHD Series uses inline thermoplastic shells designed for cable-to-cable applications, sealed against moisture and contamination for reliable performance in the same harsh environments that characterise all Deutsch connector applications. The three contact sizes (size 4 at 100A, size 8 at 60A, and size 12 at 25A) allow the DTHD Series to cover a wide range of high-current circuit requirements within a single product family. For applications requiring the absolute highest reliability in single-circuit power connections — including mining machines, emergency vehicles, and defence equipment — the DTHD Series is the industry-standard choice.

Minespec NSW stocks the DTHD Series across available contact sizes, along with the correct crimping tools and accessories required for proper field assembly. DTHD does require specific tooling for reliable assembly — our team can advise on the correct tooling for your specific DTHD contact size and wire gauge combination.
